Christmas

President Uchtdorf gives the first presidency message in the Ensign for December. Here is a little bit of what he said: "Jesus the Christ, who knew perfectly how to give, set for us the pattern for giving. To those whose hearts are heavy with loneliness and sorrow, He brings compassion and comfort. To those whose bodies and minds are afflicted with illness and suffering, He brings love and healing. To those whose souls are burdened with sin, He offers hope, forgiveness, and redemption. If the Savior were among us today, we would find Him where He always was—ministering to the meek, the downcast, the humble, the distressed, and the poor in spirit. During this Christmas season and always, may we give to Him by loving as He loves. May we remember the humble dignity of His birth, gifts, and life. And may we, through simple acts of kindness, charity, and compassion, fill the world with the light of His love and healing power." We encourage you to read the entire message and share it with the sister you visit teach this month! We want to wish you a Merry Christmas and we pray you feel of the peace only our Savior can bring.

TOP SECRET REPORT

Agent Shy Shoe reporting on the recruitment process for Operation Service Agents. The evening was great success. I was able to get the following evidence of the new recruits as they were training. First, the agents had to know the code to enter the telephone booth that was the portal to our training center.
Here are the recruits checking in. They got their secret agent names and filled out their application to become a Secret Service Agent.
We reviewed the Code of Ethics. All agents agreed to live by the code.
Security was tight at the training facility.
Top Agent Happy Potato (bishop) spoke to all of the recruits. He encouraged them to work hard and told them of the training that was ahead of them.
One of the tests was Service Jeopardy. Recruits were tested on their ability to quickly recognize acts of service.
Another test was to check the memory of the recruits. They only had 20 seconds to memorize items on the table and then see how well they could recall the evidence.
The hardest test of the evening was performing acts of service through the lasers. This tested their speed and agility. Many recruits did a fantastic job crawling through the maze.
Some recruits were willing to sacrifice themselves and slide under the lasers. It was most impressive.
I noticed some agents were very confident in their abilities to pass the tests. They seemed to enjoy themselves!
This recruit did an amazing job carrying small "kids" safely back through the lasers.
Top Agents Tiny Skunk and Happy Potato oversaw all of the training and discussed which applicants would be advanced to field agents.
Agent Giant Pillow tried to use her relationship with head of security, Agent Strong Dragonfly to secure her spot on the team.
We had excellent trainers to help the recruits pass their tests.
Some of the recruits thought they were very fast and that they could quickly move about serving others. Top Agent Happy Potato decided to have them sprint and see who really was the fastest.
Agent Tiny Skunk let all of the recruits know they had passed all of the tests. She gave words of encouragement as the recruits were dispatched to go out and serve.
Agent Happy Potato handed out the tools necessary for the recruits to get to work.
All of the recruits know they have the best bishopric and excellent support as they go out on their missions.
Congratulations class of 2014.
Now, be silly and serve!
Signing off, agent Shy Shoe.

Super Saturday!!

THANK YOU ALL that helped with Super Saturday! It was, once again, an amazing success. All who participated enjoyed their day. The Relief Society Presidency and their committee did so much hard work. We had fun with our projects and visiting with each other.
Sisters!
We also had great classes. One was on interior decorating. We learned a lot of new little tricks. All of our homes will be looking fabulous very soon! Thank you for taking your time to help us!
We also had a great class on new/creative ways to package gifts. These are so beautiful! We are looking forward to the holidays to practice the new tricks we learned today!
If you didn't know, our ward is full of amazing cooks. When the Relief Society gets together we always eat beautiful and amazingly tasty food. Today was no exception! Thank you for the great pasta bar we enjoyed for lunch.
Once again, we would like to thank those that put in endless hours planning and preparing for Super Saturday. It was a great success! We are thankful for all of your sacrifice!
