There's No Place Like Home

Tonight was our annual Bluffdale 9th Ward Tea Party. As always, it was AMAZING. The theme this year was "There's No Place Like Home". The planning committee did a great job! Follow the yellow brick road to the party! Watch out for the witch!
Here are some pictures of the decorations.
These were hanging from the trees as center pieces. SO CUTE!
This is the basket of handouts. They had reminders in them about the importance of family and home.
Thank you Brother Burden for filling up balloons!
We always have the best food at Relief Society Activities. THE BEST.
Thank you food committee for an excellent evening.
We were happy to have the Stake Relief Society Presidency visit us.
Excellent Photobombing skills!
Everyone enjoyed themselves!
It is fun to have family and friends come visit for the evening.
There were some crafts available for all ages!
We had a great skit about the importance of family and home. Dorothy was stressed because she had so many things to do. She remembered that her family is most important.
Sister Crow was worried that she didn't have a brain. She felt that she wasn't smart enough or creative enough. Then, she realized that she did have a brain and she could help others. We do not need to compare ourselves to those around us.
Sister Tin was worried that she didn't have a heart. She learned that she could love others and love her family.
Sister Lion had to learn to have the courage to say NO! Sometimes we over schedule ourselves and our children. We need to make sure we have time for family. Have the COURAGE to stand up for family and spend time together!
Young Dorothy sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" accompanied by guitar.
After the skit Brother Gowans shared a few thoughts about the importance of family and keeping perspective on life.
Another successful Relief Society Tea Party is in the books!
"Because love is the great commandment, it ought to be at the center of all and everything we do in our own family, in our Church callings, and in our livelihood. Love is the healing balm that repairs rifts in personal and family relationships. It is the bond that unites families, communities, and nations. Love is the power that initiates friendship, tolerance, civility, and respect. It is the source that overcomes divisiveness and hate. Love is the fire that warms our lives with unparalleled joy and divine hope. Love should be our walk and our talk.”~ Elder Uchtdorf
